Upgrading a SOTI MobiControl Device Agent

download the latest SOTI MobiControl Device Agents from the MobiControl Device Agent Downloads page.
About this task
To upgrade SOTI MobiControl Device Agents:
Procedure
- Open the SOTI MobiControl console.

Specify which networks your device(s) can use to download the SOTI MobiControl Device Agent.
- If upgrading a single device, select the Device whose SOTI MobiControl Device Agent you want to upgrade to open its Device Information panel and open the Configurations tab.
- If upgrading many devices within a single device group, right-click on the device group with the devices whose SOTI MobiControl Device Agents you want to upgrade and select Advanced Configurations.
- Open the Agent Upgrade Settings entry. For device groups, make sure to first select the right device family from the dropdown list in the top right.
- Enable the networks over which you want to enable devices to download SOTI MobiControl Device Agents and select OK to save your settings. Close the Details dialog.
- Choose the device(s) whose SOTI MobiControl Device Agent(s) you want to upgrade and, in the Device Actions menu bar, select More > Enable Agent Upgrade.
- If applicable, select the warning message at the bottom of the dialog box to see why some selected devices restricted upgrades.
- Select Enable Agent Upgrade.
- With the device(s) still selected, now select More > the Upgrade Agent Now icon in the Device Actions menu bar.
- If applicable, select the warning message at the bottom of the dialog box to see why SOTI MobiControl can not push the SOTI MobiControl Device Agent to some selected devices.
- Select Upgrade Agent Now.
Results
Devices with out of date SOTI MobiControl Device Agent download and install the latest available SOTI MobiControl Device Agent.
