Manually Assigning an LDAP User Account to a Device
Before you begin
Set up an LDAP connection to SOTI MobiControl before performing this procedure.
About this task
Certain features of SOTI MobiControl (such as device enrollment using LDAP users or profile assignment for LDAP users) require the assignment of an LDAP user account to a device,. Usually, this assignment is automatically performed during device enrollment. However you can manually assign an LDAP user to a device at any time.
To manually assign an LDAP user account to a device:
Procedure
- Select on the device to open the Device Information panel.
- In the User Details section, select the icon at the top-right corner of the section to select an LDAP group and user.

Select an LDAP group connection and a user from within the LDAP group.
The User Details section updates with the new user information.
