Create/Edit Data Collection Policies for Linux

A data collection policy enables you to automatically collect a variety of data from devices. To create a new policy or edit an existing one, select your steps from the sections below.

To create a new data collection policy for Linux devices:

Procedure

From Policies, select Data Collection > New Data Collection Policy. The Data Collection Policy wizard opens.
Select the Linux device family type.

Continue to the Set Up Policy tab of the Data Collection Policy wizard.

Edit a Data Collection Policy

About this task

To edit a data collection policy for Linux devices:

Procedure

From Policies, select Data Collection.
From the list of Data Collection Policies, right-click the policy to change and select Edit. The Data Collection Policy wizard opens.

Note: To narrow the list of policies, select from the device Family and Status filter lists to match your policy details.
