Deleting a Device Group

About this task

Deleting a device group does not delete the devices in that group: its devices are moved to either the parent group or the View All Devices group, depending on the option you select.

To delete a device group from SOTI Connect:

Procedure

  1. On the menu bar, click the main menu button and select Devices.
    The Devices view opens.
  2. In the left pane, hover over the device group you want to delete.
  3. Click the menu button that appears next to the group name and select Delete.
    The Delete dialog box opens.
  4. In the Delete dialog box, select one of the following options:
    • Delete all subgroups and remove their relationships with devices
      Note: Devices will be moved to the View All Devices group.
    • Move subgroups and devices to their parent group
  5. Click Confirm to close the Delete Group dialog box.

Results

The device group has now been deleted and its devices have been moved.
