Searching With Keywords
Search for devices in the Devices view by entering keywords in the search bar.
Enter any word or set of words into the Devices search bar. SOTI MobiControl lists the devices that match the search term. SOTI MobiControl scans the values of device properties to match your search term. These properties are a subset of the device properties available in the Device Information panels as strings.
You can use broad keywords, for example, Apple, or specific ones such as a device ID. However,
with broad searches, you may get unintended results. Searching for Apple returns both
iOS and macOS devices, but it can also return Android devices with the Apple Music app
installed. Therefore, keyword searches are most effective when using specific values
such as serial numbers or device IDs.
Tip: To filter
devices by properties, see Searching With Properties.
