The Device Details Tab

The Device Details tab in a device's information panel displays a list of device properties and system details. Administrators can use this tab to review essential device information. See Viewing Device Information for instructions on accessing this panel.

Feature Availability

Specific features depend on the SOTI MobiControl version and device type:

  • VPN IPv4 and VPN IPv6 details require SOTI MobiControl 15.4.3 or later.

  • Corporate Owned Personally Enabled (COPE) devices do not support VPN details.

  • BitLocker Recovery Key details require additional steps. See Viewing a BitLocker Recovery Key for Windows Modern.

The Device Details tab organizes information into the following sections based on platform compatibility.

Section Details Platform
Antivirus Displays Windows Defender configuration and scan details:
  • Sync: Use the Sync button to fetch the latest antivirus details.

  • Last Synced On: Shows the last successful sync.

  • Scan History: Displays timestamps for the previous quick and full scans.

  • Active Threats: Indicates unresolved security risks.

    • True: Windows Defender requires manual intervention.

    • False: Windows Defender has mitigated detected threats.

  • Quarantined Threats: Displays the number of quarantined threats.

  • Threat History: Provides access to the entire history of detected threats.

Important: Antivirus details do not update automatically after upgrading SOTI MobiControl. Sync manually before reviewing data.

Device Details

Lists general device properties, such as:

  • Device Kind, Family, and OS Version

  • Unique Identifiers

  • Available device details vary by platform. See Available Device Details for more information.

Device Network Details

Displays network connection and configuration details:

  • IP Address & IPv6 Address: Shows current Wi-Fi network addresses.

  • Network Type: Displays whether the device is on Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or Cellular.

  • Network SSID: Identifies the connected Wi-Fi network.

  • Network Authentication: Displays authentication protocols (for example, WPA2, WPA3).

  • Subnet Mask: Specifies network segmentation details.

  • Wi-Fi & Wireless LAN Modes: Indicates whether the device uses infrastructure or ad hoc modes.

  • ICCID: Displays the SIM card identifier.

Note: This requires Configure devices/device groups permission. The console shows the last known network details if the device is offline.

Logged-in User

Displays details of the currently logged-in user:

  • Username and Full Name

  • Domain Name and Identifier

  • Last Checked Time: Updates every 10 minutes.

Tip: View past login records in the Logs tab under Current User logs.

Managed Administrator Account

For macOS devices enrolled using Automated Device Enrollment, this section includes:

Software Updates Displays details on available OS updates:
  • Available OS Version: Lists pending updates.

  • Rapid Security Response: Identified by a letter in the version number ( for example, 16.4(a) - Rapid Security Response OS version).

Apple
User Details Displays information about all local users on Windows devices. For Windows Modern, this section includes:
  • Username
  • Group
  • Created by

For Android Enterprise devices, this section includes:

  • User Name
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Domain Name
  • UPN
  • Phone Number
  • Email
  • Identifier
  • Windows Modern devices
  • Android Enterprise devices
XTreme Hub Displays SOTI XTreme Hub details for applicable platforms:
  • File Storage Path

  • Number of Target Devices & Target Groups

  • Port

  • Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN)

  • XTreme Hub Status

  • Android Plus
  • Windows Mobile/CE
  • Windows Modern
  • Windows Desktop Classic
  • Linux
Targets
  • Target Device: The number of devices the SOTI XTreme Hub serves.
  • Target Groups: The number of device groups SOTI XTreme Hub targets.
  • Groups Targeted: Where SOTI MobiControl assigns and extends the SOTI XTreme Hub.

Firmware Upgrades For Samsung Knox E-FOTA, displays firmware upgrade details. Once the device uploads successfully to Samsung Knox E-FOTA, the following details appear:
