Configuring OS Image for Windows Modern Devices

OS Imaging is the process of capturing an OS image (golden image) from a device and deploying it to many endpoints. This process ensures consistency across devices, removes bloatware, and saves time. It enables administrators to capture the golden OS image of an existing device and deploy it to many devices without any manual intervention.

OS imaging can be configured in two ways:
  1. Online imaging- This involves creating OS images remotely without requiring a reboot or halting operations.
  2. Offline imaging- This involves creating OS images remotely and booting the computer into WinPE mode.
To successfully configure OS imaging in SOTI MobiControl, make sure you have the following permissions:

  • Manage OS Images
  • Manage OS Image Action
