Apple - macOS | Enterprise
Use this application type to deploy Enterprise applications owned or managed by your organization to your Apple macOS devices.
Selecting the App Type

Note: This field is only available
when the app type is PKG. Important: Macs with Apple Silicon need Rosetta to run
Intel applications. Universal applications can run on both
Apple Silicon and Intel processors. |
Source | Choose from one of the following application sources:

Upload PKG/DMG/APP File | Select Browse to select a PKG, DMG, or APP file from a local or network file system or drag the file into the field. |
Application Information
Review application information such as the display name, version, price, seller, and description.
Advanced Configurations
Select (Configure) when adding or editing an application in your app policy to open the Advanced Configurations dialog box, where you can further configure app settings.
App Details
Use this section to edit or review the application details that you are adding in the app policy.
Name | Enter or edit the application name. |
Seller | Enter or edit the application seller's name. The seller's name refers to the entity or company that is responsible for distributing or selling the application. |
Description | Enter or edit the application description. |
Application Details | A list of app details (read-only).

Installation Options
Deployment Type | Select whether the application is a requirement. If you select Suggested, the user can choose whether to install the application. If you select Mandatory, the application installs automatically. |
Managed App Config
Install as Managed | The application installs as a managed application, allowing centralized control over the version, installation, monitoring, revocation, and policies. |
Convert Existing Application to Managed |
This option is only available if you select Install as Managed (enabled by default). The named application becomes managed if
it was not managed before.
Note: App
conversion to managed is not supported for user-enrolled
devices. |
Allow Install as Un-managed Application |
This option is only available if you select Install as Managed (enabled by default). Use this option to allow application installation on devices that do not support managed installation. |
