Android Enterprise | Enterprise App Store

Use this application type specifically for applications owned or managed by your organization. You must either upload the .apk to SOTI MobiControl or provide a link to the download location of the file.

Tip: When adding a mandatory application, use the Order column to organize and adjust the installation order.
Note: Enterprise applications are not related to the Android Enterprise solution. To install Android Enterprise managed applications on your Android Enterprise devices, use Managed Google Play Applications.

Advanced Configurations

Select (Configure) when adding or editing an application in your app policy to open the Advanced Configurations dialog box, where you can further configure app settings.

App Details

Name The application name (read-only).
Package Name Shows the application package name.
Version The application version (read-only).
Seller The application seller's name (read-only).
Description A brief description of the application (read-only).

Installation Options

Deployment Type Select whether the application is a requirement.

If you select Suggested, the user can choose whether to install the application.

If you select Mandatory, the application installs automatically.

Enforce App Version When enabled, SOTI MobiControl installs an earlier version of the app, replacing any newer versions already on the device.

Managed App Config

Enable Managed App Config Turn on the toggle to enable advanced configuration for the app.

App Permissions

Default Permission Policy Manage the default permission for the applications. Choose from:
  • Please Select (default)
  • Allow
  • Deny
  • Allow User to Configure

Select Cancel to revert back.

Note: If app permission is set to "Deny" via app policy and "Allow" via script, the app policy settings will take precedence.

Selecting either Allow, Deny, or Allow User to Configure from the Default Permission Policy enables you to configure custom permissions for the application. Choose from the available app permissions and adjust the settings as needed.

Permission Enables you to configure custom permissions for the selected application.
Note: These permissions are specific to the selected application.
Configure Permission Configure the default permission for the applications. Choose from:
  • Allow
  • Deny
  • Allow User to Configure
