Android Enterprise Corporate Personal

Note: Devices running Android 8.0 or later support Android Enterprise Corporate Personal management.
On a Corporate Personal device, the organization manages the entire device but allocates a part (or 'container') of the device for the personal apps and data of the device user. As the device is managed, you can apply management policies to both the main device and the Personal Profile. Although the Personal Profile does have limitations in access and oversight to offer privacy for the device user.

To enroll a device as a Corporate Personal device, follow the instructions in Creating an Android Enterprise Device Policy. Devices can only enroll as Corporate Personal devices during the initial device setup process. If your device is already active, you need to factory reset it to enroll it as Corporate Personal.

Work Apps

Note: To use apps in the managed Google Play Store, you must set up an Enterprise Binding. See Android Enterprise Bindings.
The managed Google Play Store offers MDM administrators the ability to:
  • Distribute work-specific versions of apps.

  • Control which apps users can download from Google Play onto their Android Enterprise devices.

If you do not plan to use the managed Google Play Store, select Skip Google Account Addition During Enrollment on Managed Android Devices when creating your enrollment policy. You can still install applications using packages. See Using Packages.
