About SOTI Hub Content Repositories

A SOTI Hub content repository is the hosting location for the enterprise content that you want to share with device users through the SOTI Hub app. SOTI Hub supports several content repository options, both cloud and on-premises. You can configure many content repositories of the same or different type to a single SOTI Hub profile configuration, providing device users with access to several repositories at once. Or assign many profiles with separate SOTI Hub profile configurations but that target the same devices.

Tip: If you do not want to grant device users full access to all content in a repository, you can limit access to a particular folder and its contents.

Link your content repository to the SOTI Hub app using a SOTI Hub profile configuration which also enable you to configure settings regarding authentication and app behavior.

SOTI MobiControl supports using the following servers as content repositories:

WebDAV

Choose WebDAV to add a Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) WebDAV server that can access files residing on an NTFS server. The server must be running on Microsoft Server 2008 or later. Refer to Microsoft's documentation on Installing and Configuring WebDAV on IIS 7 or Later for reference.

Once you have installed and configured WebDAV on IIS, you can proceed to Setting Up Your WebDAV Server for specific instructions on configuring your WebDAV server for use with SOTI Hub.

SOTI apps Server Extension

You can install an extension for SOTI Hub on WebDAV servers. When you do, it increases functionality by adding features such as resuming downloads after a connection interruption and search results that populate while the query is still running.

SharePoint Online

Choose SharePoint Online to add a cloud SharePoint server as your content repository for SOTI Hub. SOTI Hub prompts device users to enter their Office 365 credentials to access the repository. When you add a SharePoint Online repository to SOTI Hub, make sure that the repository URL is the full path to the SharePoint site that you want device users to access. The URL should not be of the root domain. If you want to configure more SharePoint sites, you can add another content repository to the SOTI Hub profile configuration. Example: https://sharepoint.com/Sales/ where Sales is a SharePoint site.

Note: Copying the URL directly from an internet browser address bar may not work as it might not have permission to access the server.

OneDrive for Business

Choose OneDrive for Business to add access to your OneDrive for Business instance to the SOTI Hub app. SOTI Hub prompts device users for their Office 365 credentials to access the repository.

OneDrive

Choose OneDrive to add access to personal OneDrive accounts to the SOTI Hub app. SOTI Hub prompts device users for their personal account credentials when accessing OneDrive.

Box

Nextcloud

Choose Nextcloud to add a Nextcloud server to the SOTI Hub app as a content repository. SOTI Hub prompts device users for their Nextcloud credentials when they select the Nextcloud option in the SOTI Hub app.
