Enrollment Policies and Rules

SOTI MobiControl uses rules to simplify device management and configuration tasks. You can create the following types of rules:

  • Enrollment Policy: Enables you to configure the settings that SOTI MobiControl uses to set up and communicate with your Android Plus devices (see Adding Android Plus Devices).

  • Add Devices: Enables you to configure the settings that SOTI MobiControl uses to set up and communicate with your Windows Mobile/CE, Windows Desktop Classic, Printer devices (see Add Devices Rules).

  • File Sync: Enables you to schedule file synchronizations between devices and the SOTI MobiControl deployment server (see File Sync Policies).

  • Device Relocation: Enables you to automatically move devices from one group to another based on the current location of the device (see Device Relocation Policies).

  • Data Collection: Enables you to collect data from devices automatically - see Data Collection Policies

  • Alert: Notifies you and device users when various events occur within a SOTI MobiControl system (see Alert Rules).

  • Telecom Expense Management: Notifies you and device users about current usage of company voice and data minutes (see Telecom Expense Management Policies).
