Configuring SOTI MobiControl for SOTI Identity User Management

About this task

Important: This procedure is for users who upgraded their on-premises installations of SOTI MobiControl to v15.0 or later.

Additionally, offline installations of SOTI MobiControl cannot use SOTI Identity for user management because SOTI Identity is a cloud app and requires access to the internet.

The following procedure is the high-level process for configuring SOTI MobiControl and SOTI Identity. Click each link to see more details at each step.

To configure SOTI MobiControl to use SOTI Identity to perform user management tasks:

Procedure

  1. Contact SOTI Support to set up an SOTI Identity account.
  2. Log into your SOTI Identity console and add your SOTI MobiControl instance to SOTI Identity. Follow the steps outlined in Adding a SOTI MobiControl instance to SOTI Identity in the SOTI Identity documentation.
  3. Associate your SOTI MobiControl instance with SOTI Identity. Perform the steps outlined in Integrating SOTI MobiControl with SOTI Identity in the SOTI Identity documentation.

Results

SOTI Identity is now ready to manage users for your SOTI MobiControl instance.

Add users and create user roles in SOTI Identity. User roles are automatically reflected in the SOTI MobiControl console where you can define permissions for them.
