Using File Manager
About this task
While remotely controlling a device, you can use File Manager functions to perform the following actions:
- Viewing Files and Folders
- Downloading Files and Folders
- Uploading Files and Folders
- Renaming Files and Folders
- Deleting Files and Folders
- Viewing Action Statuses
- Cancelling Actions in Progress
All of the above actions are available on Android devices.
On Windows and Linux devices, all of the above actions are available except for folder download.
On macOS and iOS devices, the only available actions are file download and status viewing.
Procedure
To display File Manager:
- In the SOTI MobiControl console, select the required device and click the Remote Control button on the toolbar that appears across the bottom of the page.

Alternatively, in the SOTI Assist console:
- Locate and open the incident that refers to the device whose files you want to view or manage.
- In the Association panel, click the Remote Control icon.
- In the Remote Control page that opens, click the File Manager toolbar button.
