Disabling a Compliance Policy

About this task

Disabling a compliance policy prevents it from being run to check compliance.

Note: Devices that were deemed non-compliant by the disabled compliance policy will become compliant. If their email access was blocked due to non-compliance, SOTI MobiControl will notify the Microsoft Exchange server to reset email access to its default behavior.
Important: Do not disable the default compliance policies.

To disable a compliance policy:

Procedure

  1. In the Compliance Policies view, click on a compliance policy's name to open its Compliance Policy Information panel and click the Disable button from the Compliance Policies Actions list.
You can also click > Disable beside the compliance policy.
  2. Click Disable.

Results

The compliance policy is now disabled. Disabled policies can be re-enabled following the same steps. Devices that were flagged non-compliant due to this policy will become compliant (assuming no other policy flagged them as non-compliant) and any non-compliance actions that were active will be revoked.
