SOTI Surf is a secure mobile browser managed through MobiControl that enables device users to access their corporate intranet through an encrypted connection on their device. It combines all the elements of a traditional browser with additional security features such as website filtering and data leakage prevention options. Furthermore, SOTI Surf allows you to use a proxy server and encrypt all network traffic to and from specified domains to ensure the safety of your corporate data.
SOTI Surf can leverage MobiControl's Enterprise Resource Gateway (ERG) to encrypt all network traffic that passes through SOTI Surf on your devices. It sets up a connection between your servers and your devices to protect your company data, end-to-end.
Currently, SOTI Surf is available on devices running Android 4.0 or later or iOS 8 or later.

It is highly recommended that you use SOTI Surf with ERG. If you do not use ERG, your network traffic will be unencrypted and you will lose the ability to use LDAP authentication to verify your users.
Complete the following steps to configure your environment for use with SOTI Surf.
A proxy server is required to establish a secure connection between your devices and any internal networks that your employees access through SOTI Surf. Use the SOTI apps Server extension to install ERG on your server. Go to Installing SOTI apps Server for SOTI Surf for more information.
If you do not use a proxy server, any access you provide to your corporate network will not be encrypted. However, you can still employ SOTI Surf as a normal browser with some additional security features such as the ability to disable certain settings and institute web filtering. See SOTI Surf Settings for a full list of features.
After you install ERG, you can begin distributing the SOTI Surf app to your devices. Go to Distributing SOTI Surf for more information. Once you have enrolled your devices, installed the MobiControl agent, and pushed the SOTI Surf app down to your devices, you can use the SOTI Surf profile configuration to configure the browser's features. See SOTI Surf Settings for more information.
SOTI Surf supports LDAP login. If you want SOTI Surf to authenticate your device users, you must enroll those devices with LDAP information. See Adding Android+ Devices or Adding iOS Devices for more information. LDAP support is only applicable when you are using a proxy server.
