Generating New RSA Keys

About this task

You can generate new RSA keys if the current keys are compromised. Any existing data will be re-encrypted as part of the key generation process.

To generate new RSA keys:

On your first SOTI XSight server, open the SOTI XSight Administration Utility.
Select Keys from the menu on the left.
Optional: Turn on the Force Generate option if you want to force key generation even if SOTI XSight can't decrypt existing data using old keys.

Important: Enabling this setting may lead to data loss.
Click Generate Keys to start the key generation process.
Existing data is decrypted and then re-encrypted as part of the process.
Confirm that you'd like to proceed with key generation.

Your new keys are generated.
