Activating or Deactivating a Data Source

About this task

When you deactivate a data source, it will no longer send data to SOTI Insight. Likewise, when you activate a data source, it will resume sending data to SOTI Insight.

To activate or deactivate a data source:

Procedure

  1. On the menu bar, click the menu button and select Administration.
    The Administration view opens.
  2. In the left pane of the Administration view, click Data Sources.
    The MobiControl Data Sources section opens in the right pane.
  3. In the MobiControl Data Sources section, click the selection button next to the data source you want to activate or deactivate.
    The data source action bar appears.
  4. On the data source action bar, click the Activate/Deactivate button.
    A message box opens, asking you to confirm that you want to activate or deactivate the data source.
  5. In the message box, click Activate or Deactivate, depending on which operation you are being asked to confirm.

Results

If the data source was previously activated, it is now deactivated. If the data source was previously deactivated, it is now activated.
