Rule Types

SOTI Connect has various types of rules you can apply to devices, device types, or device groups. Each rule type has a specific purpose.

Action Rules

Action rules are used to periodically perform one or more actions on devices.

Automation Rules

Automation rules are used to monitor the state of a device and perform one or more actions based on changes to the device state. For more information about how automation rules work, see How Automation Rules Work.

Data Collection Rules

Data collection rules are used to collect and store data from a device.

Enrollment Rules

Enrollment rules are used to enroll a device in SOTI Connect and perform actions to set up the device.
