Adding a New Protocol Instance

The process of adding a new protocol instance is the same as the registration procedure when adding a new device. Follow the steps for Registering With a Service to add a new protocol instance.

If you want to manage a new device type that is not yet defined in SOTI Connect, you must first add the new device type's definition before you can add the protocol instance through which SOTI Connect will communicate with that device type.
