Configure SOTI Cloud Link Agent for High Availability and Load Balancing
Before you begin
Complete the SOTI Cloud Link Agent setup on Machine 1 as described here: Set Up Outbound SOTI Cloud Link Agent for SOTI Identity.
About this task
You can achieve high availability and load balancing in your SOTI Cloud Link Agent setup by configuring an additional SOTI Cloud Link Agent machine (Machine 2) and running it in parallel with the first one (Machine 1).
To configure the second SOTI Cloud Link Agent machine (Machine 2):
Procedure
- Open the SOTI Cloud Link Agent Administration Utility on Machine 1. See Outbound SOTI Cloud Link Agent Administration Utility.
- Select the required CLA connection and click Export to open the Export Connection dialog box.

Click Copy Security Key to copy the connection's security key to the clipboard, then paste this key wherever you can easily retrieve it (for example, a Notepad file).
Note: You must perform this step before the next one (connection export).
- In the Export Connection dialog box, click Save Configuration.
- In the dialog box that opens, define a path and a name for the file to save the configuration in.
- Copy the file where you have saved the SOTI Cloud Link Agent configuration to Machine 2.
- Open the SOTI Cloud Link Agent Administration Utility on Machine 2.
- Click Import to open the Import Connection dialog box.
- Paste the security key you have saved aside into the Enter Security Key field.
- Click Browse, select the configuration file, and click Import.
- Click OK in the confirmation message that opens.
