Performing Group Device Actions

About this task

Group device actions enable users to execute operations on all devices or users of a given group simultaneously, improving efficiency and consistency in device management. Whether managing security settings, deploying updates, or enforcing policies, device actions performed on a group level ensure streamlined administration across an entire fleet of devices. Executing group device actions requires permissions to ensure only authorized users initiate changes. Compatibility and restrictions vary based on device type and action. Always review the necessary permissions and supported actions before executing group-level commands.

Procedure

On the SOTI MobiControl web console, right-click on your target group and select Group Details.
Select (more) on the top-right of the page, then select from the available list of device actions.

Tip: Not all device actions may be available at the group level. Consider Performing Device Actions on Multiple Devices as required.

Note: Alternatively, users can right-click on a group and select Execute Action to apply device actions on a group.
