Deployment Server Priority List

The Deployment Server Priority List dialog box allows you to specify the deployment server preferences for a device.

Deployment Server Priority List

This section enables you to define the order in which the device attempts to connect to a deployment server, if multiple deployment servers have been configured. Priority one is the highest and five is the lowest. When the device attempts to connect with a deployment server, it will try the highest priority server first. If that server is not available, it will try the next one in the priority list.

Multiple servers may be assigned the same priority level to establish a pool of deployment servers to balance the load across a large number of devices.

If you delete a deployment server, the priority of the remaining servers is updated to reflect the change.

Override Settings Inherited from Parent Group 'device group name' Turn on this toggle to ignore settings inherited from parent device groups.

This option only appears on nested device groups.

Apply changes to all child groups and devices Turn on this toggle to cascade settings specified here to all nested devices and device groups.
Status (icon) Green if the server is online, red if it is offline.
Name Displays the name of the Deployment server.
Priority The current priority level for this Deployment server. The device will attempt to connect with the Deployment server that has the highest priority level first.

If you select Not Used, the device will not attempt to connect with that Deployment server.

Port Displays the number of the port ("Port 1" or "Port 2") all devices will use to connect to this Deployment server. This column appears if two ports had been configured for this Deployment server. For details, see Using SHA-1 and SHA-2 Certificates on the Same Deployment Server.

Click a server's name to see more information about that deployment server and change its priority.
