Self Service Portal

MobiControl Self Service Portal offers a way for users to see devices associated with their account as well as a way to locate, lock, remotely wipe and send messages to those devices.

  1. The web address for the Self Service Portal varies depending on your installation of MobiControl:

    • If you are upgrading to MobiControl 13.0 or later from a previous version, continue to use https://server.domain.tld/mobicontrol/m as your Self Service Portal URL.
    • If you are using MobiControl 12.4 or earlier, use https://server.domain.tld/mobicontrol/m
    • If you are using a new installation of MobiControl 13.0 or later, use https://server.domain.tld/ssp

  2. Log in using the LDAP credentials that were configured in Security Tab.
  3. Once you are logged in, a list of the devices associated with the username is displayed.

Note

Devices need to have been enrolled using LDAP authentication to appear in the Self Service Portal. You can also manually associate a device to an LDAP user after enrollment. See Device User Information and LDAP Connections Manager for more information.

Setting up Self Service Portal

Your Self Service Portal environment is automatically set up when you install MobiControl. However, you may want to customize the behavior of MobiControl and customize the portal branding with your organizations logo.

  1. On the All Platforms tab, go to the Servers tab.
  2. Go to Global Settings.
  3. Scroll down to Self Service and click the wrench icon to open the Self Service dialog box.

Within the Self Service dialog box you can configure whether or not to delete devices or revoke all issued certificates after end-user self un-enrollment. You can also customize your Self Service portal by uploading a header logo for the portal web page.

Setting Security Permission Levels for Self Service Portal Users

By default no user is allowed access to the Self Service Portal. To authorize end-user access to the portal, you must change their permissions levels in the Security tab. Go to Security Tab: Manage Users for more information. You can set permissions levels based on LDAP user or user group.
