iOS Actions

MobiControl allows you to perform a number of actions quickly and easily, directly from the Devices tab view. Actions can be accomplished at the device group level or directly to a single device depending on the granularity of your changes.

Using an Action Menu Item on a Device or Device Group

Available actions differ depending on your platform. Always ensure that you are on the iOS platform when using device actions. Some actions are can only be applied at the device level.

On the iOS platform tab, go to the Devices tab.
Right-click on the device or device group that you want to change.
Select Actions from the dropdown list.
Select one of the options from the cascaded dropdown list.

Actions Menu Options

General

Action Item	Description
Disable (Enable) Passcode Lock	Switches the pin code on the lock screen of iOS devices to off or on depending on the previous state.
Lock Device	Activates the lock screen lock on the device
Bypass Activation Lock	Allows administrators to override an Activation Lock placed on a device. See Activation Lock Bypass for more information.
Set Device Wallpaper	Allows administrators to customize a wallpaper for devices
Clear Restrictions	Allows administrators to remove any user configured restrictions on the device such as a passcode restriction. Restriction enforced by MobiControl are not affected by this action.
Set Device Name	Allows administrators to use macros to set a device name.
Wipe	Allows administrators to remotely wipe a device of its data. There is also the option to revoke any certificates provisioned to the device by MobiControl.
Enable Lost Mode	Allows administrators to activate "Lost mode" on supervised iOS devices which locks the device and allows MobiControl to track its location. GPS does not need to be active for Lost Mode to work. You can also choose to display information on the lock screen of the device. You can enter a message, a phone number, or a footnote message (that will be displayed below "Swipe to Unlock"). This feature is only available on supervised devices running iOS 9.3 or later.
Disable Lost Mode	Disables Lost Mode on your iOS devices.

Exchange Access

Action Item	Description
Block Exchange Access	Blocks access to the Exchange Email access filter. The Secure Email Access filter must be installed for this action to have any effect.
Unblock Exchange Access	Unblocks access to the Exchange Email access filter. The Secure Email Access filter must be installed for this action to have any effect.

SOTI Apps

Action Item	Description
Block access to SOTI Hub	Blocks access to content from the SOTI Hub app.
Allow access to SOTI Hub	Undoes the block created when the Block access to SOTI Hub action was activated.
Clear Cached SOTI Hub Content	Removes any data cached by the SOTI Hub and logs the device user out of the app.
Block Access to SOTI Surf	Blocks device user access to the SOTI Surf app.
Allow Access to SOTI Surf	Removes blocks to SOTI Surf that were created when Block Access to SOTI Surf was activated.
Clear Cached SOTI Surf content	Clears any data cached by the SOTI Surf app. Includes browser history, cache, bookmarks and downloads.
