Adding a User

About this task

To add a new user to SOTI Connect:

Procedure

  1. On the menu bar, click the main menu button and select Users and Permissions.
    The Users and Permissions view opens.
  2. In the left pane, click Users.
  3. In the right pane, click Add User.
    The New User dialog box opens.
  4. In the New User dialog box, enter the user information.
    For information on the permission level associated with each user role, see Roles.
    Note: User passwords must meet the following criteria:
    • Password must contain at least one upper case letter
    • Password must contain at least one lower case letter
    • Password must have a length of at least 8 characters
  5. Click OK to close the New User dialog box.

Results

The user has now been added to SOTI Connect and can be viewed in the list of users.
