Viewing a Report

About this task

After you have created a data collection rule to generate a report on devices, you can view and save the report.

To view a report that SOTI Connect has generated:


  1. On the menu bar, click the main menu button and select Reports.
    The Reports view opens.
  2. In the left pane, select the report you want to view.
    The report appears in the right pane.
  3. Optional: If you want to filter the list of devices covered in the report, click the Devices button in the right pane.
    The Choose Devices dialog box opens.
  4. Optional: In the Choose Devices dialog box, select the devices you want covered in the report, then click Save.
    The report generated for the filtered selection of devices appears in the right pane.
  5. Optional: At the top right corner of the right pane, select the time period you want the report to cover.
    If you select Now, the report covers the current state of devices.
  6. Optional: In Columns View, select the device attributes you want to view in the report.
  7. Optional: If you want to save a copy of the report under a new name, click the menu button on the top right corner of the view and select Save as.
    The Save As dialog box opens.
  8. Optional: In the Save As dialog box, enter a unique name for the report, then click Confirm.
    The new report appears in the left pane.


For advanced analysis, you can also export report data by clicking the Export Report button and selecting either Export To CSV or Export to PDF.
