System Requirements

General Requirements

• Windows 10 or Windows Server 2016

  Note: Windows 10 should have at least the Anniversary update.

• Minimum dual core processor with 8 GB of RAM

• Administrator privileges

• .NET Framework 4.7.2

• The IT domain policies should allow a local administrator to open ports.

• If using an MQTT protocol, a commercial-grade MQTT broker such as HiveMQ.

Database Requirements

• SQL Server 2017 or SQL Server 2017 Express

  Note: The SQL Server user must have permissions to create, modify, and drop databases.

Network Ports

The following network ports may need to be opened for SOTI Connect communication: 443, 1234, 1833, 4649, 5551, 5681, and 8883.

• Google Chrome
• Mozilla Firefox

Cloud Requirements

If you are using a cloud instance of SOTI Connect, the only component required locally is the protocol adapter for the desired device type.
