Deleting a User Role

Before you begin

Note: You can delete only those user roles that you have added and that are currently assigned to no users.

About this task

To delete a user role:

Procedure

  1. On the menu bar, click the menu button and select User Security.
    The User Security view opens.
  2. Update any users that are currently assigned the role you are about to delete, so they are assigned a different role.
    Note: You cannot delete a role that is currently assigned to any users.
  3. In the left pane, hover over the user role you want to delete.
    Note: You can delete only those user roles that you have added and that are currently assigned to no users.
  4. Click the menu button that appears next to the role, and select Delete.
    A confirmation dialog box opens.
  5. In the confirmation dialog box, click Confirm.

Results

The user role has now been deleted.
