SOTI Cloud Link Agent Versions

SOTI Cloud Link extends enterprise services to SOTI cloud services. Depending on your SOTI ONE application, you can implement the SOTI Cloud Link Agent as either an Outbound or an Inbound connection.

On systems that use the Outbound SOTI Cloud Link Agent, all application requests are initiated from the agent. Whereas the inbound SOTI Cloud Link Agent accepts SOTI ONE application requests and forwards them to the respective enterprise service. However, the inbound SOTI Cloud Link Agent requires an open port (generally port 443) to facilitate communication between the agent and your on-premises servers.

Note: Where possible, we strongly encourage the use of outbound SOTI Cloud Link Agent over inbound to ensure secure connections.

SOTI ONE Application and SOTI Cloud Link Agent Compatibility

  • If you are using SOTI Identity, use inbound SOTI Cloud Link Agent.
  • If you are using SOTI MobiControl 15.1 or earlier, use inbound SOTI Cloud Link Agent.

  • If you are using SOTI MobiControl 15.2 or later, use outbound SOTI Cloud Link Agent.

Note: To upgrade to a later version of SOTI Cloud Link Agent, you must uninstall your current version of SOTI Cloud Link Agent and install the new version.
