Microsoft Internet Information Service (IIS)

Internet Information Services (IIS) is a flexible, secure and easy-to-manage Web server for hosting anything on the Web. With IIS installed on you can utilize the MobiControl Web Console and benefit from all it's features.

If you elect to install the MobiControl Web Console via the MobiControl Setup executable, then MobiControl will pre-configure IIS for you. If you need to make any adjustments, you can access the IIS Manager (shown below) by accessing Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.

By default the MobiControl Web Console will be installed to http://{ServerName}/MobiConrolWeb.

Note:

If you have a Security Certificate installed on your IIS Server then the MobiControl Web Console will use HTTPS by default.

When installing IIS for the MobiControl Web Console be sure to enable the following features:

.NET Extensibility
ASP .NET
ISAPI Extensions
ISAPI Filters
BITS Server Extensions
IIS Metabase and IIS 6 Configuration compatibility

Once installation is complete, you should now be able to launch the MobiControl Setup Wizard, and select MobiControl Web Console as a component. If the MobiControl Installer detects that one of the above features is missing, you will be prompted to install them, and retry.
