XTreme Hub (Device Settings)

Specify how a device behaves if it fails its first try to download files from an XTreme Hub.

Override Settings Inherited from Parent Group 'device group name' Enable to ignore settings inherited from parent device groups.
Note: This option displays only in nested device groups.
Apply changes to all child groups and devices Enable to cascade settings specified here to all nested devices and device groups.

Turn on Enable XTreme Hub to prevent Android, Windows CE/Mobile/Modern devices from receiving files directly from the deployment server.

Connection

Connect to XTreme Hub by Choose the connection type for XTreme Hub repository:
  • Group: The device group automatically connects to an XTreme Hub within the same group and any parent device groups.
Note: Adding an XTreme Hub to these groups connects them to the device group. Conversely, removing disconnects them from the device group.
  • Assignment: Assigning an XTreme Hub to this device group connects them regardless of the hub's location. Select an XTreme Hub by selecting the corresponding checkbox. To assign priority, use the up arrow button next to the XTreme Hub name.
Note: The XTreme Hub with the highest priority targets devices first. If it fails, the next highest priority XTreme Hub attempts to push the files
Note: Removing middle priorities reorders all priorities in ascending order.

Configuration Settings

Retry Sync Interval Specify a time interval for devices to try to download files from their XTreme Hub after an unsuccessful first try. Each device in the device group chooses a random value within the range, reducing the burden of many devices contacting the XTreme Hub simultaneously.
Retry Sync Attempts Specify how many times a device tries to download files from an XTreme Hub.

If all attempts fail, the device waits until its next check-in to try downloading the files again.
