Updating the SOTI Identity Client Secret
About this task
If your client secret becomes compromised and you need to generate a new one in SOTI Identity, you must also update it in SOTI MobiControl to ensure continuity of user management service.
To update the SOTI Identity Client Secret in SOTI MobiControl:
Procedure
- In the SOTI Identity console, generate a new client secret for SOTI MobiControl. Save it somewhere nearby.
- In the SOTI MobiControl console, open the ☰ Main Menu in the top left corner and select Global Settings.
- Under Global Settings, click the wrench icon beside Identity Provider Configuration.
- On the SOTI Identity tab, paste the new client secret into the Client Secret field.
- Click OK to update the client secret and close the dialog box.
Results
SOTI Identity can continue to manage users for your SOTI MobiControl instance.
