Windows Modern SCEP

MobiControl's SCEP policy configures Windows Modern devices to reach out to a SCEP server to request a certificate.

Note:

Certificate Authorities must be set up before you can use Certificate Templates. See the Certificate Authorities page for more information.

Templates allow the same configuration to be sent down to Windows Modern devices. This ensures that each certificate received by the device is dynamic. Simply select the template to use and click OK to save this in the profile.

Device certificates can only be installed on devices running the Windows 10 Anniversary Update (2016) or later.

Adding a SCEP Configuration

1. Navigate to the Add Profile dialog and select SCEP.
2. Select a Certificate Template from the dropdown.

   Templates are based on the templates configured in Certificate Authorities.

3. On Windows Modern Desktop devices only: Specify the type of certificate: Device or User.

   Choose the User store option if you plan to use a SCEP certificate for a VPN or WiFi setup.

4. Click OK to save the SCEP configuration to the profile.
