SOTI Hub Settings v 1.0

MobiControl's SOTI Hub payload enables you to configure application and content repository settings for SOTI Hub. SOTI Hub ensures that access to corporate files outside an organization's internal network is available only to employees' devices that are managed by MobiControl.

Note

SOTI Hub was updated in MobiControl 13.2. If you are using SOTI Hub with MobiControl 13.0 or 13.1, use the guidelines provided below. If you are using MobiControl 13.2, go to SOTI Hub Settings.

To add a SOTI Hub payload to an Android or Android+ profile:

In the MobiControl Web Console, click on the Android or Android+ tab to open it.
On the Android or Android+ tab, click on the Profiles tab to open it.
On the Profiles tab, click on the Add button to open the Add Profile dialog box, or right-click on an existing profile and select Edit Profile to open the Edit "ProfileName" dialog box.
If you are defining a new profile: in the Add Profile dialog, on the General tab, enter a name and description for the new profile.
In the dialog box, click on the Payloads tab to open it.
On the Payloads tab, click on the Add button and select SOTI Hub to open the SOTI Hub Settings dialog box.
In the SOTI Hub Settings dialog box, select the SOTI Hub application settings you want to be applied. To select content repository settings, click on Click here to add a new Content Repository to open the Content Repository dialog box.
In the Content Repository dialog box, select the content repository settings you want to be applied. When you are done, click OK to close the Content Repository dialog box and return to the SOTI Hub Settings dialog box.
Click OK to close the SOTI Hub Settings dialog box and save the SOTI Hub Settings payload to the profile.

In the SOTI Hub Settings dialog box you can specify the following SOTI Hub application settings:

Option	Description
Description	Enter a name for the SOTI Hub configuration. This name will be used as the description for the payload.
Inactivity Timeout	Specify the maximum number of time units that can elapse, during which the user has not interacted with the SOTI Hub application, before the user is logged out of the application. To disable inactivity timeout for the application, enter '0'. Note: This setting applies only when the SOTI Hub application is accessing one or more content repositories requiring LDAP authentication.
Inactivity Timeout Unit	Specify the unit of time to be used for the Inactivity Timeout value.
Content Refresh Interval	Specify how often the SOTI Hub application will communicate with the content repository server(s) in order to refresh content.
Content Refresh Interval Unit	Specify the unit of time to be used for the Content Refresh Interval value.

In the Content Repository dialog box you can specify the following content repository settings:

Option	Description
Repository URL	Specify the URL that the SOTI Hub application will use to access the content repository server. A port number may be specified as part of the URL. If you plan on routing traffic through the Enterprise Resource Gateway, specify the internal URL used to access the content repository server.
Filter	Restrict the file types accessible to device users based on file extension. Your filter must have the format, ".<extension>" (for example, .doc). Only one filter can be specified. Leave this field empty if you do not want to filter which files are accessible to your device users.
Target Folder	A target folder is a custom folder that you create within the SOTI Hub application. You can use target folders to segregate or merge content from different content repositories. If you specify a target folder, content from the repository will appear under the target folder within the My Library section of the application. If you do not specify a target folder, content will appear in the root folder of the My Library section of the application.
Login Option	Specify the method of authentication that the SOTI Hub application will use when contacting the content repository server.
Domain	Specify a domain that will be prefixed to the user's username when passing login credentials to the content repository server. The following macros are supported: %ENROLLEDUSER_DOMAIN%. This field is optional.
Username	Specify the username that will be used to authenticate the SOTI Hub application to the content repository server. If no username is specifed, the user will be prompted for login credentials. If Fixed credentials is specified as the login option, then username must be provided. The following macros are supported: %ENROLLEDUSER_UPN%, %ENROLLEDUSER_EMAIL% and %ENROLLEDUSER_USERNAME%.
Password	Specify the password that will be used to authenticate the SOTI Hub application to the content repository server. If no password is specifed, the user will be prompted for login credentials. If Fixed credentials is specified as the login option, then password must be provided.
Use Enterprise Resource Gateway	Select this option if you require devices to communicate with a MobiControl Enterprise Resource Gateway to access the content repository.
Enterprise Resource Gateway	Select the MobiControl Enterprise Resource Gateway (ERG) that your devices will use to access the content repository. Note: Only ERGs that have the Enable filtering of network traffic to content repositories option enabled will appear in this list.
Download Content Over Cellular	Select this option to allow devices to download content while connected to a cellular network.
Download Content While Roaming	Select this option to allow devices to download content while roaming. This option is available only when Download Content Over Cellular is enabled.
