Build Workflow Apps
About this task
Workflow apps add an extra dimension to your SOTI Snap apps by working with your business processes to automate tasks, authorize actions, reduce manual errors, and produce an auditable trail of activities.
It's simple and easy to build workflow apps in SOTI Snap. To get started, follow the steps below.
Procedure
- In the App Manager, click New App. A pop-up lists new app options.

Click Create Workflow App. The Create Workflow
App window opens.

Complete the form information fields.
Icon Click the Edit button to select an image to use as an icon for your app. Name Provide a name for your app. This name displays in the list of applications in the App Manager. Description Describe the purpose or function of your app. Key Create a unique key for your app. The key is a naming prefix to identify records associated with your app. Theme Select a theme color for your app. - Click Save and Continue.
Results
With the basic structure of your app created, develop the forms and workflow to support it. See Build Apps and Workflow Designer to progress your app further. Any apps you create appear in the App Manager under My Apps, even if you have not published them.
Important: Remember to secure your apps. See Limit User Access to Your Apps. Workflow apps also
require you to authorize specific devices to use the app. This ensures any
workflow approvals can be associated with the device's owner. See Manage Device Access for Workflow Apps.
