Apple Profile Configurations

The Apple platform consists of both iOS, macOS, and tvOS devices. Profile configurations for macOS devices split further into macOS User Profile and macOS Device Profile. User profiles only apply settings to the enrolled user on the macOS device, whereas device profiles apply settings to the entire device, regardless of user.

Available profile configurations differ depending on the selected type:

Important: The Apple iOS and macOS platforms have two default profiles: App Catalog and Profile Catalog. Both profiles are simple web clips that point to the web address for either the App Catalog or the Profile Catalog. You must not delete these default profiles.
