Web Console Device Group Permissions |
Device group permissions enables you to apply permissions based on device group rather than user groups. For example, a support team operating out of California, USA may be responsible for supporting all the devices in the western states, while another team operating out of New York, USA is responsible for managing all the devices in the eastern states. Using device group permissions, the members of each teams can be granted different levels of access to the devices in their own region (full access), and those in other regions (no access).

Customize user access and permissions from the panel on the right. Use Full Control only for users that need access to everything. These security settings are applied to device groups and therefore define what users can do at the device level.
Note
The permissions in the Device Group Permissions page can be set at the group level as well as the individual level. If there is a conflict, the most restrictive permissions apply.
Adding Device Group Permissions
- Select a User or User Group from the Users/User Groups list on the left.
- Select one or more Device Groups from the Device Groups list.
- Check the permissions you want users to have for that device group.
- Click Save.
Copy Permissions across User Groups
MobiControl allows administrators to copy Device Group Permissions and paste them onto another group.
- Select a User Group.
- Click Copy on upper right.
- Select the User Group you want to apply the permissions to.
- Click Paste.
- Click Save.

If Full Control is selected, every permission is automatically selected.
