Australian owned and operated, Cheap as Chips is a discount department store that offers a diverse range of products sourced both locally and globally. Founded in 1985, Cheap as Chips first opened in Morphett Vale, South Australia and has since grown into a company with 50+ stores, creating local jobs in regional and metropolitan South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

## The Challenge

Operating from both regional and suburban Australia, the company implemented over 100 devices across 51 Cheap as Chips stores. Its dispersed workforce presented logistical challenges when it came to managing and maintaining technology. The company needed a solution that could provide remote support and troubleshooting capabilities while enabling its workforce to operate more efficiently.

Implementing new technology was not a simple task. Deploying and managing devices was a challenge for the company to do in-house. Additionally, once the devices were deployed, they required constant and proactive monitoring to maintain optimal performance by identifying and resolving issues promptly. Regular maintenance and updates were necessary to keep the devices running and secure.

## The Solution

To address these challenges, leading retail technology partner RetailCare, which offers technology solution for retail, e-commerce and corporate clients worldwide, recommended SOTI MobiControl to manage and secure Cheap as Chips devices.
