The [transportation and logistics (T&L)](https://soti.net/industries/transportation-and-logistics/) industry has one main objective: move goods from point A to B.

Whether it’s a flat tire, engine troubles or technology downtime, the result is the same: if the wheels don’t turn, you don’t earn.

When a device goes down, here are the options:
- Wait for a resolution and resume deliveries.
- Assign another driver to take over, adding to their workload.
- Work overtime and complete deliveries for that day.
Subsequent deliveries are delayed. If the organization doesn’t deliver before their business day closes, they must start the next day by finishing the previous day’s deliveries. Cost and time to make deliveries increase.
That’s just for one driver. What if 10 drivers experience downtime? What are the costs then?
